In light of recent events I have been amazed by the resilience of people and their general good nature when it counts; what amazes me the most is people who are the most helpful to the victims of hurricane Katrina are the same people that give all of us foodservice slobs the worst tips, the most hell when unwanted cheese gets on things, or cry most and demand compensation when were out of chips. Also these are the same people unwilling to pay the sixty(??) million when it would have saved New Orleans, and now my personal guesstimate of the repairs are at least three billion, give or take three billion. Sixty million is cheaper than three billion I believe. Strangely, I just put my headphones back on and a Pere Ubu song, 30 seconds over Tokyo was playing and it seems strangely right here, because I know the whole hurricane wasn't intentional, but I would consider this a genocide because I heard a report on Npr three years ago about how this was going to happen, and if I remember correctly the Army Corp of engeneers report was made like ten to twenty years ago. Another neat thing about this is I have heard from volunteers, one of the benefits of food service I wager, upwards of seventy thousand people have been drowned, but wait, more to come...All the people buried in New Orleans were buried above ground so the whole morass has turned in to a rotten milkshake. My last thought is the millions of cars buried under water which adds to the heady stew of pollution. All being pumped back into the beautifull waters of lake Pontchartrain. So next time the levee breaks people will just mutate, at least the strong ones, into some superhuman amphibious monster destined to be the next step in human evolution, or take over America either way whitey deserves it. Maybe all the poor black people will melt next time like that dude in Robocop. The last image from the past week that I have is George W. Saying in a press conference. "No such thing as global warming as the tsunami at Christmas and Katrina have no connection, so have some corpse water darkie...."
